Lanzarote - a place for all seasons - lies 70 miles from Africa and on the same latitude as the Bahamas and Florida.

An ecologically aware island, development is minimal and is closely monitored to prevent the island from becoming spoilt. Beautiful beaches are surrounded by crystal clear ocean.

A variety of sporting activities are available including golf, tennis, squash, scuba diving, fishing, wind-surfing and snorkeling.

Puerto del Carmen offers several kilometres of beautiful golden beaches. The placid waters are ideal for wind-surfing. The most central beach, Playa Grande, offers 1km of toasted sand and promenade.

The National Park of Timanfaya (Yaiza)

Teguise
Teguise was the capital of Lanzarote, up until 1852, and is a hallmark of Lanzarote's culture. Overflowing with stories of the past, it is a definite must-see. Its souvenir shops, bazaars, and Sunday afternoon market, held in the streets and alleyways of the village, provide a wide variety of gifts to take home.

The Cactus Garden (Between Guatiza and Mala)
Originally a quarry, this cactus plantation was transformed by artist César Manrique, and was to be one of his last works.

Mirador del Rio (Haria)
479m above sea level, this lookout point provides the perfect place for a phenomenal view of the island of La Graciosa and the Montaña Clara islet. What appears at first just to be a mountain garden, is in fact a restaurant, crafted from an opening in the mountain by César Manrique. It is advisable to visit on a clear day !!
